Cards are going out to Laura Wood, Brian Perlis' (ZPAW Now) wife, to celebrate her promotion to Colonel in the U.S. Army.
Laura doesn't like overly girly cards, so I used this new vintage typewriter set. It was sort of a hard one to pull off. You know how it is when shopping online-you don't take note of how large the stamp image really is sometimes, lol. Oh well. Glad I did not glue my image down until I had punched some stars in the white panel to show the poppy parade peeking through. Happy to get this one done for Laura!

Shirl, this is a great vintage image and the sentiment is inspired for Laura!! Love how your background color is peeking through those punched stars!

This is a very creative take on the patriotic theme! That vintage typewriter is so cool (and yes, I have done the same, ordered stamps without paying close attention to the size!). I love the choice of reds (my fave) to pair with the dark blue.

Shirl, that typewrite image is fabulous! This card really shows off your creativity! Love the greeting, and those punched stars that show off the red layer underneath!
