My second card for Color Challenge 957. I am pleased to be your hostess as we continue with Christmas in July as the dessert option.
The colors are Pretty Peacock, Shaded Spruce and Crumb Cake. I started with a watercolor wash with Pretty Peacock ink on watercolor painter. Over that I placed an Aspen Tree die-cut panel. I watercolor the bird with ink & water painter brushes and die-cut him out. I did also use neutrals Pecan Pie and Smokey Slate. Then, I die-cut the evergreen boughs and two layers for the pinecones. I lightly sponged the top pinecone layer with Crumb Cake. Created a resting place for the bird and added a few pieces under the sentiment at top. The final touch was a few rhinestones.
This one certainly has a woodsy feel. I hope you give the colors a try with or without dessert. TFL

You took your colors and created a beautiful card with them. Love the bird and all your die elements. Fantastic background with the pretty peacock color. Thanks for a great color combo.

Beautiful!!! I thought of using this bird but didn't get past the idea that greens would be too dark. The crumb and shade are simply beautiful on him! Isn't that evergreen die amazing? I had dismissed it early on and then tried a friend's. Now I think of it as a staple in my stamp room. Of course that is the way I approached the trimmer when it first came out too!
