Stacy is our hostess and she gave us a video by Emma Lefeve on painting a nest. I painted a tree to put the nest in and used hot press paper which is smooth. The hard thing is to paint in proportion to what size the nest would be. Need more practice. Since birds nest during the spring, did the leaves to look like they just started to bud. It was fun, come and paint a bird nest for the gallery. TFL

I'm intrigued by your choice of hot press paper today, as I haven't ever played around with that. You have achieved nice soft edges and beautiful color washes within the nest and in the tree. Beautiful painting.

So soft and lovely. Wonderful colors, background, nest, and eggs. I LOVE this and into my faves it goes. Hugz
