When I was young, I recall seeing The Red Balloon at the library. Even though it unsettled me and I didn't particularly like it, the film left a lasting memory and influenced the design of my latest card.
To create the cutouts, I utilized a Cricut and then added some shading using a #2 pencil. The background paper has a nice texture that enhances the overall style of the card. In order to retain the essence of the minimalist French art style, I kept the card simple.

Great card. You have me wondering what you found unsettling in the film. I must pull the DVD out and watch it again. It's inspired cards for me too. The textured card base is great here.
