I combined Sunday's FS with yesterday's tea party for Pat's friend Mary. I wish Mary all good things.

Boy does she have a lovely gallery. I was most attracted to more simple layouts, plainer background, so I could really focus on the focal point. I used green for the background, drew those framing lines but in a more wonky style, have a plant for the focal point and didn't add near as much extra beauty around it.
Succulents are what Mary likes and I do too. I have had several for quite a few years, bringing them inside in the winter so they can be more neglected than they are in the summer. But they always revive. I especially love all the colors of those succulents. I watercolored them with MarenaArt watercolors and then used Fine Tec metallic paints for the background.
Thanks for the challenges, Ardyth and Pat.

Beautifully put together, love the doodling! Great colors for your succulents. Great CASE, too, of that amazing scrapbook page.

Oh yeah, I definitely see the layout of the inspiration page here. Love the way you created the look with the die cuts and those fun crocheted flowers. I'd say you have the perfect amount of "beauty" around your focal panel. Love the spectrum of colors you used for the succulent images. Beautifully crafted card.

LOVE all the texture and interesting elements in this card, and nice work on watercoloring the succulents. Oh, and the doodled frame completes it nicely.
