Last week's Featured Stamper, Caterina aka caterinafmg, has a Gallery filled with delightful, colorful, fabulous designs. I especially enjoyed all the personalization she adds to many of her cards. I landed on this one as a great design for a birthday card for my Great Niece (and she is truly great): Soft Sympathy by caterinafmig at Splitcoaststampers
I kept Caterina's layout, lace and floral butterfly; changed the colors to lavenders/purples, used embossed layer instead of dotted dp; added the scalloped edge to echo her lace and some pearls.
While Caterina's butterfly was dp, I die cut my butterfly and then randomly stamped leaves and flowers. I actually did that three times. Chose the one I liked best and added Stickles to the flower centers. When I laid the butterfly down it looked a bit flat, so I ended up stacking all three die cuts but only glued them in the center. IRL you can see some of the floral peeking out from the bottom sets of wings. It's kinda cool.
Congratulations Caterina on being Featured Stamper and thanks for inspiring me with your beautiful Gallery. I hope you enjoyed all the cards made in your honor. And, I am sending everyone soft wishes for a peaceful and happy day. TFL

Beautiful case. Fabulous layered butterfly. I like how you cut them out and then randomly stamped. Love the scallops, the embossing and trim. Sweet sentiment. Great card.

That butterfly truly does look cool. I thought you had just diecut it from dp. The stickled centers are great. Looks awesome, Debbie. Love that pretty floral ef and those fun stitched scallops!
