I covered a lot of ground today. Three challenges...the tea party for Clint, the sketch and the first challenge of ABC19-A is for avocado. It's all about colors this go-around.
It's been rather fun and stimulating to pack up my art stuff and find things I forgot about. I know I have too much but when I find things that I obviously thought I needed, I want to use them. The olive vine LuminArt has a sponge applicator but I couldn't get enough to squeeze through so I painted it on some mixed media paper. Splattered with some of the bronze spray. Found a package of paste paper I purchased from Etsy a long time ago, used that for the black accents. The owl is actually a round sticker that I cut a bit smaller so it wouldn't cover up the paste paper. Computer generated sentiment for Clint's belated birthday card.
I thought the olive vine LuminArt was close to avocado, especially the inside of it. The outside is very dark green, sometimes black, so that's why I chose the paste paper. I have a lot of the Fabriano card bases that I want to use up.
Thanks for all these challenges...I'm having fun creating with found things. At some point, all my stuff will get packed up but I have plenty of time, still purging. I'm now concentrating on my art collection, oh woe is me.

stunning... that background came out great. Love the owl in the woods...and I really like the drawings around the outside of the card... simple yet made it so elegant.

Your "found" treasures combined to make one fabulous card. Love the green tree embossing as the bg and the texture and patterns on the paste paper is fab. Your owl looks like he peeking out of his hidey-hole in those trees. And, as always, it's those little details like your doodled frame make the card. Great card.
