I'm a morning person, have been my whole life, even as a teenager. But the morning I seem to like best is Wednesday morning, because that's when the WCW challenge is posted. I used to be fearful of what the challenge would be. Now, after three years, I look forward to seeing what the team has cooked up for us. Most of the time, I'm very happy with the outcome.
Yesterday's MMTPT, our monthly tea party for each other, we were asked by Sue to reflect on our favorite time of day. Morning on Wednesday seemed like a good idea. I did last week's WCW because I hadn't gotten around to it. Getting ready to move and creating don't always go together very well, especially when one is packing one's art supplies, but keeping watercolor supplies at hand works well. I love Diane's videos and am pleased with the outcome of this painting. BTW, funny thing...when I bought the Versafine Clair monarch ink, which is purple, I was so confused. Monarchs are orange and black. Well, duh, Jean....the UK having just crowned the King, I suddenly understood.I actually understood earlier than this, I just hadn't shared. I was thinking about the US and what would have happened if England had won the Revolutionary War. I didn't put it together that my family would never have immigrated from the Alsace Lorraine and I wouldn't exist. Thanks for the challenges!

Your butterflies are so pretty, Jean. You have wonderful colors and shapes for them. They look great on your slimline card, too. BTW, sure glad you exist.

Lovely butterflies! I like to watch them fly around my backyard. They never look like they have a plan, just flying around willy-nilly. They make me smile. I have monarchs and Palamedes swallowtails.

These watercoloured butterflies are beautifully done, Jean, and love them on the long slimline card! I have always hoped to join in with the fabulous water colour challenges and, one day, I will. I certainly love looking at the galleries when I can.

Wonderful butterflies and that sentiment is perfect, Jean. I am the same way about WCW now. I actually have my butterflies cut out and ready, they just need a card to go on....
Funny how we think things like you did about the color of ink. I do the same at times. Hope your move goes well. Hugz

Lovely combination of painted and stamped butterflies. I'm glad you're still able to get a little creative time even with all you have going on. At least with watercolour and zentangle you can keep on with minimal supplies, just like when you travel.
