Cards are going out to each other for the teapotter challenge. Hosted by Sue (sue2 and she asked what is your favourite time of day. Mine would be any time I am hearing the birds sing. There was one tweeting outside while I was making this at one point, but now there is silence and that works for me too, to just sit and be.
I still have a bit of this drool worthy dp left. I diecut the birds from the salty ocean piece I used last week. I used mending wool (from my inherited Mum's stash) and punched a hole in the banner and tied a bow. I think birds like yarn for their nests. I used a glaze pen to accent their eyes. Extra cookies for a frame. I doubled mine up.

Lovely "all nature" card with that floral dp, the birds on a branch and even your frame has a woodgrain feel to it. I have lots of scraps of that wool - I should lay a few pieces out for the birds to find because I think you're right, they like scraps of twine, cord etc. to tie their nests together!

Birds are very popular today and I can understand why. They're a constant in many of our lives...they make us feel good even on those bad days. I love that bg paper you chose and the special yarn salute to your mum.

This dreamy dp is the first thing I noticed, it really is beautiful, Shirl! This is such a pretty card with the blue birds and textured frame - extra cookies for you! I, too, love hearing birds sing in my garden, the prettiest voices in our garden are from the magpies ~

That woodgrain frame is from a nesting set, how cool! Beautiful paper, lovely birds. We used to have a guy in work who said his local magpies sometimes pulled windscreen wipers off cars for their nests - no accounting for taste. Just recently I was on the way home from work and stopped to watch two crows carefully stripping the bark off small branches that had blown down. Any time of the day with birds is good.

Totally drool-worthy paper and how sweet to have some treasured mending wool to add something very special to this lovely card, Shirl. Listening to birds is special for sure. Hugz

Drool worthy...I like that statement. Your whole card is drool worthy. Yes, a favorite time for me too. Yesterday somebody was working on the sidewalk on my block, I don't know what he was doing but it was this constant sawing of concrete ALL DAY LONG. I suspect he will be on my side of the street soon. Front door closed!!!!!!

In the early spring I hang out nesting bags by my feeders. I use the mesh bags that veggies come in and put pieces of string and yarn inside. Sometimes I put fiberfill or clumps of dog hair. I have 9 feeders, I love my birds. Especially when they are singing. I love your card.
