I'm an early bird, can ya tell? I can get a lot done in the morning and I naturally wake up early....sometimes too early! My favorite time of day especially this time of year is when I wake up and hear the songbirds speaking to each other. It's just so nice and relaxing to be in bed and hear their sweet chatter.
My card features this multi step Greetery set....I like these birds but all that stamping (each bird has like 5 layers) gets to be a bit much. I figured for a Tickle it's worth it! I decided to use an old toile bg stamp for the green layer. I love how that turned out. And the Anna Griffin embossing folder provided more texture to the card.
I see Anita and I are on the same wavelength this morning. Thanks for the fun challenge Sue!

Oh yes I agree with you we are early birds and I'm also a late sleeper...your card depicts perfectly your chattering birdies, love the bg and love the embossing too, unfortunately we live too far from each other if not we could craft together early in the morning, sharing a cup of tea

Way cool card! I, too, love to hear the chirping of the birds in the mornings. Great work!

When I saw your birds, my math mind immediately started counting stamping steps and said 3, so when I read your description, I had to go back and recalculate . . . .OH DUH . . . I missed the very obvious feet and beak! I love the tone-on-tone pastoral scene in the bg. It works well with your songbirds.
I, too, am an early riser - typically up between 4:30 - 5:30 AM.

I think you do an amazing job stamping all those layers, but for sure the result is worth it. I think the birds start a little too early at the moment, I am hearing them at 4 if I am awake. I was talking to a guy in work yesterday and he said he comes in for 6, because he can do flexi and leave at 2.30. If I had to get up that early every morning I'd be too tired to benefit from the afternoon! I love the green setting for your birds, and the embossed layer behind it.

I love to listen to the birds in the morning too, but I have more birds in the winter and more songs. This time of year I just have the native birds, cardinals, Carolina wrens, mocking birds and sparrows. I love when the catbirds are here, they have wonderful songs to sing.

These cute little blue & yellow birds were definitely worth it, Polly, and look fabulous on the green stamped bg! I love the AG embossed bg, this is such a pretty card. Listening to birds singing and chatting is one of nature’s absolute delights, isn’t it? Our magpies are big birds that like to dive bomb people when their young are in their nests! - but to hear them sing is beautiful. Oh and to hear the kookaburras laugh is magic~

Beautiful birds and colors, Polly. Looks like a very interesting set. Great framing too.
I naturally wake up early too - 3:26 AM today, unfortunately. Was hoping for at least another hour.... It is lovely to lay in bed and hear birds, but I beat them up most days...
Beautiful card. Hugz

Those are great birds. Wow 5 layers, that is a lot but they look great. I too am an early bird. Many days I am up by 4. There are some days that I get up at 3. I wish I could sleep until 6 but alas that does not happen.
