This is my card for CC950. Karen is our hostess and she chose petal pink, flirty flamingo and mint macaron for her color trio. Dessert option this week is your fave embellishment.
For my card I decided to do some stamping and then coloring with Prismacolor pencils and gamsol. I used the floral images from an older Stampin' Up set- "secret garden". The Prismacolor carmine red (PC926) pencil is a good match for flirty flamingo.
The background has 2 different designer papers from Stampin' Up- hand penned & whimsy & wonder. I used some mint macaron ribbon to separate the 2 panels.
My birthday phrase is a die from Papertrey ink. I don't have any petal pink cardstock so I used petal pink enamel dots to get that 3rd color on my card.
That's my sample for this week. Hope you can play along with us for this week's color challenge.

This is delightful, Mary. Love how you used two patterns of DSP in the Mint. The flowers are colored so beautifully. The layout is fabulous. Great card. So attractive!

I'm so glad to see your beautiful work with colored pencils and gamsol. That technique makes for a wonderful effect, and you did an amazing job with the colors. Leaving white highlights on the petals really gives a feeling of dimension. Wonderful birthday card!

Those flowers are so real looking--I can never get mine to look as nice with Gamsol. I also like the pretty pink pearls you added too--beautifully done!

Those dark green leaves are such a wonderful addition. They really make the bg come to life, and offset the blossoms. Very pretty, Mary!
