This week's Featured Stamper Kay, aka stampindoe, has a Gallery of wonderful cards and TONS of great designs and layouts to help us use up our scraps. I loved the look of the rainbow of trees on this fun card: SUO CCC20APR Card - Rainbow Star Trees by stampindoe at Splitcoaststampers. I thought this could be used with so many different and fun images/dies. I landed on butterflies for this version.
I need a Thank-You card to accompany this gift set of four cards I made to thank a friend ( Many Thanks! by DebbieinOC at Splitcoaststampers ). I thought the lighthearted feel and soft Spring colors of Kay's card would be perfect for the job. I kept Kay's rainbow of colors and white bg but added a textured bg, different dies and some pearl embellishments. I chose pink for the frame because it was the only full piece of cs I had to match any of my scraps. Super easy card and so versatile.
Congratulations Kay on being selected Featured Stamper this week. Your Gallery is full of fun and delight and I hope you are delighted by the cards made in your honor this week. I was going to use Hawaiian Shirts for this after I saw your two Aloha Shirts card. Time permitting, I hope to go back and see if I can make that work in this design too. And, I hope everyone has time to enjoy the kaleidoscope of nature's colors as Spring begins to emerge. TFL.

I love your butterfly die cut, and how you used soft pastel colors. Your textured background is a perfect backdrop for your butterflies! Wonderful CASE!

That card of Kay's caught my eye as well! I love how you translated it into a confection of pastel tones with that fabulous butterfly die! The pearls and embossed BG make me want to touch this card!
