My daughter and her husband just celebrated their 4 year anniversary last week. They planned a small family only garden wedding at a local park known for their beautiful roses. Unfortunately it was too early for the roses to be in bloom so they booked space in the tulip garden which is lovely in early May. We had had weeks of rainy weather and had no backup plan except umbrellas. Fortunately it turned out lovely, sunny and warm. That drew lots of people to the park. The happy couple were in the middle of their vows with my daughterâs dog Gemma, her first love, resting at their feet, when someone who was totally oblivious to the special moment happening about six feet away, came up with a small stuffed bunny that they nestled in the blossoming tulips so they could take a photo. Well that caught Gemmaâs attention right away and she stood up and tried to get over to the bunny. I had quite a time keeping her distracted!
I was just going to do the bunny and tulips over the lacy die cut, but considered adding some sparkle. My daughter had a simple white strapless gown with a lovely organdy pleated overlay. The gown was on sale and she loved it the minute she put it on. We found a beautiful Vera Wang silver and crystal belt with leaves and flowers and there was a matching hair piece which stepped the gown up from pretty to stunning! So I went looking for a die and found these beautiful lacy leaves which I cut from dazzle paper.
I think I will send this out to my girl. Thanks for the fun memories!

Oh, goodness, what a great way to share your story! The bunny is so cute, and the tulip paper is gorgeous. Your daughter's dog was doing so well until that bunny. You made a fantastic card inspired by a memorable wedding moment!
