I used a woodblock stamp of an iris by Inkadinkadoo. Well, the rubber was failing in a place so I removed the bare rubber from the block then remounted it on cling foam. I did trim a bit too close to one of the flower stems, so I used a marker to add color. It is obvious to me, but hopefully the recipient will be non e the wiser.
I love iris flowers. I chose the Hydrangea tri-blend marker by Spectrum Noir to color the flowers. The greens are a mixture of Spectrum Noir and SU Stampin Blends. They play nicely together.
I enjoyed your gallery, Lesley. Enjoy your time in the spotlight.
This is being entered in the MISTI Monday challenge. In MO Iris blooms. The challenge is to make a card with flowers that bloom in May.

Gorgeous flowers and gorgeous coloring. Loving the various shades of purple you added in each bloom combined with that soft green. And, I can assure you that your recipient will be "none the wiser" -- I really don't see the flaw you described. The beautiful purple hues look fabulous with the black framing. Wonderful card.

I love Irises too! This is a gorgeous image and so nice to see an older one featured. Beautifully coloured and framed to really highlight the focal point.
