You could have pretended you didn't see the "tiny bit of red" part of the instructions. (It simply didn't register with me, so I have a bold red card in a gallery of black and white ones.) I like how the image extends beyond the framing.

You did a great job. You made the sentiment red which just accents the importance of the message! I love those Bibles that have Jesus' words done in red for that very same reason!!!!

Ha! So true. This year I don't think I have the energy for all that, anyway. I'm sure you could have used more red, but then the sentiment wouldn't have popped as much :-).
