I used the same stamp set as it is one of my favorites. Lynn had used a waterbrush on the images after stamping. She achieved such lovely moodiness. I like her layout. I would copy exactly if I could.
I needed a masculine birthday card for a cancer patient. I wanted it to be cheerful & happy. I tried the same technique on a lesser scale with brighter colors. I stamped the trees and drew in the trucks. I lightly applied some Wink of Stella to the edge of the sun and the water.
Other Changes: colors, created a larger scene on a smaller panel, changed the sentiment & theme, left off the speckles, added some DSP and used a colored base.
Thank you, Lynn for sharing your beautiful cards with us and for inspiring mine today!

Diane, I really like your use of the waterbrush after stamping. This came out very happy and very cool. I really like it and want to try it myself. Wonderful case/card. Hugz

So lovely Diane. I would love to be by that beautiful blue lake in that lovely green mountain valley. I love your brighter colors and I think you achieved the happy feel you wanted for the recipient. The water brush does add a lovely soft affect to the landscape. Wonderful card. And wonderful you for supporting a cancer patient on their big day.
