I haven't needed a graduation card in a very long time, not since my daughter got her Masters in counseling in 2010. But i'm so pleased to say I need one for my son, who is graduating from a technical school in HVAC and has already gotten a job. It took him a while to figure out what he did (and didn't) want to do with his life...better late than never. And to top it off, he started the program in fall of 2020, which of course meant very different schooling. One can't learn about HVAC virtually...lots of sanitizing, mask wearing, you name it. I'm so proud of him and for him.
I decided to make it a true 'Mom Jean' card , creating a Zentangle mortar board. Very simple, sketched it and added several tangles, plus shading, which makes all the difference in Zentangle. I also included today's MIX-doodling inside stenciling. His school doesn't technically (ha, a joke) have school colors but their logo is orange and blue so I used those colors. I did splatter with some metallic watercolors to add interest. I think he will like this! Thanks for the challenges!

Our family knows us beat, and appreciates us, thank Heaven!! I'm so glad he found HVAC, he'll have work to do the rest of his life!! Love your card, and he will too!

I've got to say this is the coolest grad card I've ever seen. A Zentangle grad cap- wowee. This is awesome and I know you are so happy that your son found his niche. I wish he was here as I could use a good HVAC guy right now.
