Congrats to Susan (MDO Susan) for being our FS this week!
I looked through several pages of her gallery but came right back to her latest card Spring is Trying to Come!
It was very hard to catch the beautiful shimmer of the water coloring on this!
I used the same technique (watercoloring over gold embossed image on black card)
I used a smaller, different floral stamp,
I embossed my sentiment
added gems
gold embossed the sentiment
Die cut the edge of the black panel so the gold panel behind showed through as well as around the edges.
Enjoy your week in the FS gallery Susan - and thank you for the inspiration!

I still have never tried this technique. This makes me want to, Julia. Beautiful and sweet and so perfect with that sentiment. Hugz

Your use of the metallics, the layout and the intensity of the color are very soothing (especially the blue) , just right for your sentiment. Gold background, jewels and embossing are so effective. Thank you for looking at the gallery and case-ing!

Beautiful card and colors in your poppy panel. I have never tried water coloring on black and was surprised when I saw Susan's card; you've done a wonderful job with the technique!

I really loved all of Susan's black cards with the metallics, so I'm so pleased to see your CASE. And, it's gorgeous! I love your design on this card and how it so beautifully conveys your sentiment, caring and peacefulness. Fabulous card.
