and planned to create a card-sized banner with recycled bits from used greeting cards, since I recently got a bag of them from my mom. But then I found a pile of small circles and hearts I had die cut from a card last year and fell in love with the colors all over again, and decided they would be perfect for my banner card!
I covered a premade card's front with pale blue cardstock. I wrapped gold thread around a slightly smaller piece of green cardstock, taping it on the back to hold it in position, then glued the green piece to the blue card front. I attached the circle and heart die cut pieces along the gold thread on the card front with foam tape for dimension. On a strip of the green cardstock, I stamped the sentiment in light blue ink, and die cut the edge with a border die, then glued to the card front. I stamped a Happy Birthday sentiment inside the card.
USEIT2023: Used a brand new stamp set and brand new border die. Found and finally used die cuts I had cut out and saved last year. Also, I have had the soft sky inkpad for years, since I bought a box lot of older SU ink pads on Ebay, but could never use it because it needed inking. I finally got reinkers and inked up all the languishing pads and was able to finally use the Soft Sky pad for a card! TFL!
