Catching up on another older Featured Stamper challenge, this one inspired by the wonderful Dina! I decided to create a card based on this cool wooden pendant:
I kept the basic elements of an offset circle inside a circle with a butterfly in the opening, and the dark blue color. I tried stenciling and embossing on the dark blue unsuccessfully, so decided to add texture to the background instead, and picked an embossing folder that was somewhat similar to the stenciling in Dina's pendant.
I trimmed white cardstock slightly smaller than the premade card, which had a gold metallic edge that I wanted to leave visible. I embossed the white background and attached to the card. I cut the navy blue piece with a stitched circle die then cut the inside circle with a smaller die, and attached to the card front. I die cut the butterfly from pink metallic cardstock and then cut two more of the butterfly from white cardstock and stacked the die cuts and glued together for more dimension, then glued to the card front inside the circle. I stamped the sentiment on a pink patterned paper scrap and heat embossed with silver detail powder, trimmed the edges, and attached to the card.
Belated congratulations, Dina, I hope your week was awesome!

You definitely captured the feel of Dina's pendant with this design. Love the butterfly over that neat circle die. The embossed bg adds the perfect texture and interest. Wonderful card.
