Over at the Watercolor Challenge, Kia has us doing sheep in spring (fab tutorial by Karen Rice) and over at the MMTPT teaparty, Polly has us making inspirational and happy cards.
Had a short amount of time this morning and thought I could whip up a quick painting. That is when the adventure started I didn't have a pencil in sight so used a black ink pen and it blurred when I added water.....I messed up my first sketch so I flipped the watercolor paper over (not the same let me tell you)... I didn't have time for air drying so did 10 seconds in the microwave each time (I don't recommend this as it is dangerous)... I shook my white paint and it spilled all over my hand and floor... and other fun things happened. The coolest thing is that I still love how this turned out and I hope Pam does too.
Thanks Polly and Kia.

LIke how you showed us a great way to make a card from this challenge. Your talking sheep are precious. Smiling here on your adventure this morning painting it. Another terrific card in the gallery this week. Always impressed with your work. TFS

I absolutely know she will oh yeah, the back side is not the same texture as the top but, I totally get what you were saying as that seems to be part of the learning journey for this I love your sheep and that you made this a portrait view too.

I think all those adventures just add to the charm and love on this card. It couldn't be cuter or happier. I LOVE your sheep and I LOVE that gorgeous bg you created for them to live in. I don't watercolor, but if I take it up I promise not to use my microwave. Awesome card in every way, Nancy. I love your style!

You have me laughing reading your discription of this card-making session : ) Haven't we all been there? Especially when in a bit of a hurry; everything goes wrong! What did NOT go wrong is your finished card which is absolutely wonderful with the beautiful spring background and these adorable sheep. Pam is sure to love this.

this came out great.. I love those sheep. That background is awesome.. reminds me of the blossoms in Washington DC - I think its called the Cherry Blossom Festival.. I keep looking at those trees... they are just beautiful.. fabulous card.
