I bought this stamp set (of 4 stamps) with my Eiffel Tower a few months at Hobby Lobby for $1.99 on sale, not knowing what I would do with it so I was excited to get a chance to use it today for today's Paris in the Spring challenge. I stamped it on watercolor cardstock, then watercolored just the Eiffel Tower in gold. I also wanted to use my little mouse so I put him walking to work with his fancy Louis Vuitton briefcase. I have no idea who I will send this card to but I did like how it came out.
My daughter went on her first international trip last June for her 30th birthday. She went with a tour group all by herself and met up with 50 other people her age in Italy. It took her 3 days to get to Italy from the USA due to all the cancellations etc. Anyway, one of her overnight stops that was totally unexpected was Paris, France. She had already spent one night at the Boston airport because her flight was cancelled (She got no sleep since she "slept" in the terminal) Once she got to Paris, she found out her flight was cancelled again and she decided to get a hotel room at the airport. She met up with a man and his teenager in the hotel's lobby and they all shared an Uber to see the Eiffel Tower at 11 at night. Apparently at 11:00 pm, each night, the Eiffel Tower lights up with beautiful twinkly lights for 5 minutes so she was thrilled to see that. I was a nervous wreck as you can imagine but all went good and she had a great time in Italy and Greece both. I can only dream to go there one day!!

This is so sweet. I really like it.
What an adventure for your DD. Unfortunate first time experience but on the other hand that is how people become "seasoned" travelers. Great silver lining to see the Tower like that though!

This is sweet, adorable and enchanting. It would make a good Bon Voyage card, but it also sounds as if it would be a great one to send your daughter. I'm glad she got to see the twinkly lights, they are a sight worth seeing. I think it's every hour after dusk, because I'm quite sure we've never been there as late as eleven!!

Adorable stamp and card. The first rule of travel is flexibility and now your daughter is a pro! I hope you do get a chance someday to see the Eiffel Tower sparkle at night.
