I've been very slow working on my collage card for Friday's mix challenge, because I'd gone for a nap by the time it was posted, and I didn't have a lot of time up here over the weekend. To start, I took a Brusho background on watercolour from my background box, and used the gel plate to create a print over half of it - white paint, then stamping Medallion, then pulling a print. Once this was dry, I stamped music, script, foliage and a couple of butterflies (after looking through my coloured ones and choosing one which went with the card). I added die-cut burlap in the corners, stamped buttons (coated with glossy accents), and stamped the sentiment where it would be framed by the little bookplate-style stamp (which was stamped, embossed and fussy-cut, with Nuvo bronze drops for the screws). Looked through my stash for some sort of charm, and ended up using two leafy/floral brass pieces.
Stamped the base with similar foliage (vintage vogue) and it wasn't enough so I stamped dots with Work of Art. Too stark, so I sponged with Antique Linen. Still didn't look right, so I coated the whole thing with gesso. Sponged the edges of the main panel and added Stickles and called it done.

I love this! It's a perfect collage - just the kind I like as it doesn't have too much stuff on it, but has just enough to provide lots of interest and texture! I might have to try and CASE it as I'm not very good at collage.
