Congratulations to the Featured Stamper this week, Christine Pooler (Crafty Meme) FS842! Her amazing gallery is a 3D delight with incredible colors and textures.
This was indeed a Challenge for me, because I am very much a *shove it on an envelope and mail it* kind of girl! I finally decided to case Garden Lantern Peek A Boo Slider by Crafty Meme at Splitcoaststampers because I had already cut a copper lantern (an extra for CT0223) and that gave me a place to start.
After texturing the lantern, I used a small oval punch to shape the top of my candle and punched a bird wing for the flame then added a touch of orange marker. The die cut holly leaves & berries were accented with a white gel pen because that is the closest I can come to adding snow. I also cut an oval frame and the words.
All my DSPs were much too busy so I stamped my foliage background. I lightly penciled a diagonal line across the card front and used my ruler to space additional lines in two directions, then stamped the pine branch at intersections and of course erased the pencil marks.
I have tiny bits of the pink and red gingham ribbons from long ago, and thought this card was worthy of a few inches of the Real Red. I will be sad when all is gone.
Inside: May you cherish the wonder of the season now & throughout the year

Wow, I love your bg. I was going to say I was impressed you had just the right dp, but now that I know you stamped, WOW WOW WOW. Perfect balance of white and foliage to show off your beautiful lantern. Equally impressive is all the creative punches you used for the candles. Great job! Beautiful card.
Gayle, this is a gorgeous Christmas card and case of Christine's inspiration card. I love the designer paper and how it sets off your beautiful lantern layered on the oval layers.
