I made a couple batches of St Patrick's Day cards for my seniors this month. This one started with a garland of felt 4-leaf clovers I found at Dollar Tree, that I thought could be taken apart and used for cards. The clovers were in several shades of green. I got an 8-pack of blank-inside cards from the Hallmark rack and used them for card bases.
I made 8 cards total, the main variation was using different backgrounds. I cut four pieces of olive green cardstock large enough to cover the card fronts, and dry embossed with a shamrock embossing folder, then glued to four of the cards. I covered the other four with dotted pattern paper. I took apart the garland, which involved pulling apart the shamrocks which had been glued together at the place where they had been cut to string them into the garland. I used fabric glue to glue them back together, and then used more fabric glue to attach to the card fronts. I stamped the sentiment in green ink on vanilla cardstock scraps, cut a fishtail on one side, and glued to the card front. I decorated the sentiment piece with light green gem stickers, and added larger gems in the centers of the shamrocks.
Inside I stamped the sentiment: "Wishing you the luck of the Irish today and every day!"
Thanks for looking!
