I made a couple batches of St Patrick's Day cards for my seniors this month. This one started with a pack of blank cards in the Hallmark display at Dollar Tree. Normally I choose cards that are easy to cover over completely or that have a white edge. This one had no writing on it and was just the green chain pattern -- perfect for a St. Patrick's Day background!
I made 8 cards total, the main variation was using several different embossing folders on the shamrock. I began by die cutting 16 of the shamrocks because the light green cardstock was so lightweight, I was afraid it wouldn't do well with dry embossing. I made 8 shamrocks by gluing two die cuts together, and dry embossed. I die cut white squares from card stock and glued to the card fronts, and attached the shamrocks with foam tape. I stamped the sentiment on scraps of white cardstock and used a Spellbinders rectangle die to cut them out, then used the next size die to cut light green rectangles to layer them on. I glued the sentiment to the mat and attached the whole thing to the card front with foam tape, then added one or two light green dot stickers to finish.
Inside I stamped the sentiment: "Wishing you the luck of the Irish today and every day!"

Your cards are so pretty, and I love that you started with a Dollar Store base. The bases add a bit of pop! The texture on your shamrocks is eye-catching! I love it!
