Dina is hosting and she is celebrating her Mom's birthday today. She shared an inspiration photo featuring some of her Mom's favorite things and favorite colors. She challenged us to add a butterfly or flower as a bonus.
I dry embossed a white cardstock panel. After brushing water on my watercolor paper, I added reinkers to stamping blocks and, using a brush, water colored my paper. I attempted to vary the depth of the color as much as possible. When it was dry, I die cut the flowers, leaves and stems. I sponged lightly around the die cut pieces with dye inks, assembled and adhered the pieces to the white panel. Three strips of dsp were added near the lower edge of the white panel. I threaded two colors of ribbon through one diecut and attached the ribbon to the back of the panel. I stamped the greeting on the stitched oval and adhered the butterfly which was punched from dsp. I added rhinestones before adhering the white panel to the card front.
Dina, thank you for hosting! Hope your Mom has a blessed birthday!
