Our Teapot Tuesday recipient this week is celebrating her 90th Birthday, and we are sending balloons on our cards to help her celebrate!
I haven't made a Latch Card in awhile, so I thought this occasion called for one, with a balloon as the "latch".
Colored the images with watercolor pencils, and a small wet brush to move the color around. I love using watercolor pencils; they are a quick and easy way to get a watercolor look!

oh my gosh - what a cute yet elegant card. I love the bright colors. The little balloon latch is very clever... I may have to try this technique again... haven't done it for some time, but when I did it was never this cute !!!

Fabulous and fun card. Love that vintage "hand" with the balloons tied off to the finger -- what a fun image and perfect with the text dp layer. Using a balloon for the latch -- very clever. I saw in another post where Sabrina said watercolors are best for balloons because they have a transparency -- yep, your watercolors look very balloon-ey (is that even a word) and delightful. Wonderful card.
