This was jumpstarted after peeking at the fab upcycled holidays board this pin of book plate wings. And I assumed that I had the old Tim Holtz layered angel wings die but, if I do, it is hiding but, I did find this old ODBD wings set and the first time I tried cutting it with some PTI vellum cardstock to layer over the book page ( as its pretty thin stuff) but, that did not go over so well, and I really wanted the text. So, I ended up doing a piece of wax paper between the book page and the die and that did work the first time around YAY so, I decided to keep it simple. I had originally glued the wings to the textured card front but, I managed to do that crooked so out came the scalloped die and the layers. Thanks for this challenge Julie & tfl.

I was impressed by the book page/newsprint creations on this site too. The angel wings are so appropriate for a sympathy card. I love how you placed the die, so that Mark Twain's name jumps out at you. This ia a very interesting card.

Wow, I totally love this, Stacy. Such a lovely CAS sympathy card and even the words on the wings are special. GREAT idea. Hugz

It was worth sticking with it to end up with this card, Stacy. So beautiful and appropriate as a sympathy card.
