This is my sample for CC937. Karen is our hostess, and she chose so saffron, parakeet party and orchid oasis for her color trio. Dessert option this week is any 4th color. I chose polished pink.
I decided to go with an Easter theme for my card. I used the Stained-Glass Cross die from Taylored Expressions.
I cut the image once in white and then again in all the challenge colors. Pieced in the die cuts for the stained-glass look.
Used white glitter cardstock and cut just the cross image and then popped it up over the first cross.
The Easter phrase and Tulips are dies from CottageCutz. I layered them over a piece of vellum because they seemed to be competing with the background. I thought the vellum is a nice separation.
Finished off my card by adding a few polished pink jewels. First Easter card of the 2023 is done.
Hope you can play along with us this week. Karen has chosen some great Spring colors for your card making designs.

Beautifully done, Mary! Love the stained glass window look with the cross. The little tulips are adorable and a perfect addition. Excellent use of the vellum to ground the die-cut sentiment. Very nice! The pink for dessert was a wonderful choice. Great card!

Mary, good for you, getting a start on your Easter cards! I love the stained glass effect--and great choice on the Polished Pink (wink wink!). I like the addition of the tulips, too.
