This week's featured stamper is Marlease aka Lease. I love her clean, crisp style; her lovely designs; and her beautiful color combinations. She also makes a lot of cards in classic black and white like this beauty: Wedding Vibe! by Lease at Splitcoaststampers.
Her die cut overlay reminded me of this much loved but neglected stamp so I immediately retrieved it and started stamping. For the first card, I used Marlene's black & white theme, but reversed the colors, and her oval sentiment.
I also wanted to see what this might look like with some color, so I inked up the bg stamp with blue and green. I wanted to add something to make this a bit different than the first one so I pulled out this flower stamp too The blue inkpad got contaminated with the green which I noticed after I stamped the sentiment. Loved the result so I kept it. I swiped off all the contaminated ink on a piece of scrap which I then used for the flower. The green edges are direct-to-paper with the CP green. I'm loving both versions and they were very quick and easy to assemble. This just might become my go-to card for thank you in the future. These two, however, are off to this month's Cards for a Cause organization.
Congratulations Marlease on your selection this week. And a special thank you for bringing my neglected bg stamp out of retirement. I love that stamp and I hope now I will use it more. Enjoy your week in the spotlight and all the cards made in your honor. And, I hope everyone is getting to play with some of their favorite stamps today. TFL.

I love how you got a similar look with a different technique - that stamp is a keeper and you've shown how versatile it can be - it looks amazing in both versions of your card!

What a wonderful example of how versatile some stamps can be! Love both, but I especially like how you inked it with both blue and green for a lovely effect! That flower is such a cool addition!

2 beautiful cards, Debbie - I like the classic and elegant black and white and I especially like the coloured one in my favourite green/blue tones. This PB stamp is lovely and sure makes for a fabulous bg!

Beautiful! The stamped BG has an amazing look, and the designs on both are striking. The black/white combo is elegant with the oval headline. The different colors/trim on the other is perfect, too.

I love how you got two cards out of your CASE! They are both so stylish. I like the variation in color on your blue one and the addition of the flower.
