I absolutely loved creating this card on my live demo on Monday evening!
I wanted to show people how to create and build a 'new' image from stamps we already have and all those little, diddly stamps we never know what to do with!
I started by stamping my Floral Curios Posy Collage onto a post it note, then cut out the areas I wanted to keep (three larger flowers) - Now I have a mask :-) (remember to have your image on the sticky part of the post it - I forgot! ha ha)
Then inked up the same stamp and wiped away the excess ink around the three focal flowers, leaving the ink just on those,.. stamped this onto the hot pressed watercolour card.
Then, the fun part, I put the mask over my three stamped flowers and literally just went to town with all the smaller stamps to build a 'new' image..
I wish I'd added an image of my stamp set so you could compare how different it looks!
Doing it this way (rather than fussy cutting out the three focal flowers and sticking them on top) keeps the card layer flat and looks like one, new image :-)
I used my favourite colours from my watercolour blending brush pens to create all the colour on this card..
Background - literally scribble some of the ink from the pen onto a mat and mist with water, then just dab your card into it - easy peasy and looks fabulous!
Flowers - scribble some ink onto your mat, mist with water, then pick up the colour with a waterbrush - or you can go in direct with the pens for more colour intensity (I did both on here)
Butterfly - I just mopped up the ink that was left on my mat onto a scrap of the hot pressed watercolour card, allowed to dry, stamped the butterfly and fussy cut it out :-)
Sentiment - same as the butterfly :-)
Loved making tis and I love that we can make unlimited versions with stamps in our stash :-)
Hope you like it!
Phill

Super well done, Phill and I love all your details here on how you did it - you make is seem so easy when I know it takes a lot of talent to get these fab results. I am going to try this soon and see what happens. Your colors and coloring are fab and your flowers are beautiful!
