A friend requested a special thank you card for her to give. She suggested that there be blues on it and that was it.
This is what I came up with for her. I took a piece of watercolor paper, randomly stamped some of the script background here and there and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Next, I had fun with the distress inks and wrinkle free distress repeating over and over until I liked what I saw. I cut it down with a rectangle framelit, edged it with Versamark and gold embossing powder for an organic gold frame. I matted this panel with a narrow Night of Navy panel and adhered to the card base.
I die cut the thanks from gold mirror paper and the shadow from vellum. Then I die cut two feathers - Night of Navy and vellum. I used a Versamark pen to add gold highlights to both feathers. I added gold cord behind the feathers and sentiment.
I put a small off cut of the watercolor panel on the inside for decoration and called it done. I like how it turned out and, more importantly, she did too!
Thank you for looking!
