This Crate Card tutorial was a lot more fun than I expected. I don't love trying to arrange things like this. But I needed a birthday card for my sister and I had the idea of filling my crate with things that she loves: her dog, birds, butterflies, puzzles, music, and watermelon. I used something from the IC to inspire the colors and items, but I can't find that right now. I'll have to come back and add to my post. I used my ScanNCut to cut some puzzle pieces as a base and I stamped and cut out the birds, dog, etc. The record in the back of the crate is a piece from one of our favorite board games--Songburst. We don't use the records when we play the game, but she'll love that I used one here. I cut a piece of plastic from something I laminated recently to float the hummingbird and then I realized that he needed some flowers. It was also severely lacking in purple (Lynn's favorite color), so I die cut and shaped some cute flowers. This card took me forever, but I'm so excited to give it to her!

This is just delightful. I'm sorry I missed it when you posted it. I really like the use of the puzzle pieces, they really unify all the different fun elements picked especially for your sister.
