Give yourself plenty of time to recreate this one!
I love the colour palette of turquoise and burnt orange!
I wanted to create a mixed media project here and, in retrospect, I could have made this as a canvas, but it's a fabulous card too (even if it is huge)
Quite a few techniques on this project.
The cogs and gears have been painted with my Flawless Media Metallic paints to look rusty (video of how I did this on my YouTube too)
The ovals and background have some of my texture medium, mixed with a little white gesso to give me the white finish, through my gridlocked stencil.. (matches my Grid texture die)
The gorgeous Notebook Botanicals Peaceful stamp is one of my all time faves that I've designed, in fact, the whole Notebook Botanicals Collection is way up there as one ofmy favourites I've ever done!
Painted with my Flawless Media (one of my brands) burnt orange metallic paint and Fresh Green paint, as are the butterfly stamps.. fussy cut out to create the embellishments.
Broken China oxide spray has been applied diagonally to give me plain white corners and over my white ovals with the texture medium on..
The texture medium resists the ink spray a little and it looks gorgeous where it has 'pooled' around the raised areas..
The sentiments are from my Trioframe Mindful Collection - cute, with three outer frames for you to choose from when cutting them out :-)
I love texture on a card..
Hope you like it - something a bit grungier!
