This week the Tea Potters are sending paper hugs and sympathy to the family of our own dear Carlene (aka Chatterbox-1). Carlene was known as the Challenge Queen as every card she posted covered multiple challenges -- so many that once she had to post twice just to label all of them in the keyword section. So, our hostess Jen asked us to make cards using at least three past challenges.
F4A661 Dies, Dies, Dies: I used my HA Infinity dies to cut a mask which I used to ink blend the square with DOX. I also used the dies to emboss some frames. Unfortunately I forgot the rubber mat the first time I embossed so I ended up cutting out the masked off section. Oh well {{shrug}} it let me add a brown border so it worked out in the end. The white framing was too stark against my muted scene, so I did direct to paper with the DOX. Since it was already embossed, it left some white which I really loved as I thought it gave a rustic feel to the framing.
WT929 Let's Make A Scene: Stamped my scene with the reeds and my favorite dragonfly stamps.
MMTT750 Peace: Nature is always my go-to place for peace. I wanted this card to feel like a peaceful foggy morning down by a favorite pond.
I hope these cards provide some comfort to her husband, John, and his family. I hope knowing she was well loved and admired by many here on SCS will console them as well. And, I hope your day is filled with comfort, joy and love doing what you love best. TFL

Such a beautiful and soothing shade of blue. Love that you chose one of Carlene's cards to case. We will treasure the legacy she left in her awesome gallery here on Splitcoaststampers.

I love that you chose to CASE one of her cards...brilliant idea. This is such a soft, subtle, and peaceful scene...works so well for a sympathy card. The speckled egg and vintage photo colors are perfect.
