This week, I am pleased to bring you the last Color Challenge for January. The colors are: Crumb Cake, Poppy Parade and Coastal Cabana. The dessert option is to use your favorite embellishment.
When I realized the colors were perfect for it, I cased a card of a dear SCS friend, Dawn Mercedes.
I went with a more CAS design without the layers and used a colored card base. Inadvertently, I used a different tree stamp, but it works. Kept the paper piercing in the corners. Switched to three gems instead of a single heart. Changed the sentiment.
I stamped the tree in Crumb Cake, the leaves in Poppy Parade twice before re-inking and the ground/grass in Coastal Cabana.
Shhh, don't tell - I will be sending my card to Dawn. She likes red, so I used the Poppy Parade for the sentiment.
My favorite embellishment is sparkle. I used Costal Cabana gems at the bottom and Wink of Stella on the darker leaves.
Thanks Dawn for the inspiration. Thank you for looking. I hope you will play along with the Color Challenge!

One of my all-time favorite stamp sets, Diane, and it looks great with these colors. Great combo, BTW! I love the second generation stamping that gave you such nice shading on your blossoms. Great CASE of a lovely card!

this is so pretty- love the tree- it could be for Valentine's Day as well. But as a "thinking of you" card it's also perfect and Dawn will love it- casing a card of another stamper and then sending it to her- is a great honor!

Love this beauty! Reminds me of Valentine's hearts and could be used for a Valentine card. The gems, and the BG card with the matching tree base is awesome...
