This wasn't quite a desk cleanup, but found in a craft room clean up -- last year (so Christmas season 2021) I decided to do one of those make-a-ton-of-cards with one 6x6 pad. I found cutting instructions and cut up most of the pages of a Doodlebug winter pad, and sorted the pieces and partially made cards into envelopes to return to later. And then...lost them in my stash. Now I have no idea what the original plans for the cards were, so I'm kinda winging it with the pieces I have. Since none are specifically Christmas and I need some cards for my seniors for January, I'm using as many of these as I can figure out!
This card had the larger background pieces attached to the card already, and the smaller dotted square floating loose in the envelope. I decided to pair them with a square of navy blue cardstock and die cut a snowflake from silver glitter paper, which I glued to the blue piece, then attached with foam tape to the dotted square, which I glued to the card front. I stamped the sentiment with watermark ink on another navy blue scrap, and heat embossed with detail silver powder before attaching it with foam tape as well.
USEIT2023: Paper scraps, plus my rediscovered partially finished card project from 2021...also first use of the glitter paper from Dollar Tree, which has been in my stash for a while.
