This is for today's sketch and yesterday's teaparty for John. The inside of the card says 'may life grant you peace and serenity', sentiments that go along the stamp at the bottom, a sketchy mountain range. I got the MME 6x6 dsp at Goodwill for 99 cents and I love the CC marbled dsp. I wanted to make a serene card for John. I know that the sentiment on the lightbulb is a bit simplistic but I love it just the same. I had the clock on my desk from yesterday so thought it would work well for the circle to tuck the flap into. Does anyone know why the fold is called a 'Joy Fold'? I thought I could adapt the sketch to this fold. Thanks for the challenges!

this is great ! I use that sentiment quite frequently, from the Harry Potter series. This came out fabulous... and that antique clock is just awesome...

I love how the lightbulb I’m blue stands out from the other more subtle papers. Just like a light bulb should. You certainly achieved serene with this gorgeous card.

That bulb and sentiment are super-cool, still loving your clock.
I always guessed it was because someone called Joy first shared it here. There are a couple cards and folds that go by a name like that, Cami's trifold, Leigh's tote and they're all from very early tutorials.

Totally awesome sentiment - Literally and figuratively - and so true that as we age especially, we often need to make our own light. like the kind of collage look with your papers and embellies.
