Mary is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she put me right in the mood for Valentine's Day with her color choices: Real Red, White, and Flirty Flamingo. Dessert is "anything goes" so my dessert is Valentine's Day. Oh, and some very light pink ink.
My heart dies and stencils came from a fun Advent Calendar from Taylored Expressions. I must say opening a small gift each day in December was fun, even for a grown up crafter. I cut the three big hearts with the die, then decorated each one with a stencil and some white embossing paste. For the white heart, I colored the embossing paste with my Real Red ink refill.
The background was created with a very old SU stencil and some light pink ink. I cut a bunch of hearts from red and flamingo cardstock and scattered them, and die cut "love you" for the greeting. The small hearts and the greeting are liberally covered with my Nuvo Glitter Brush.
Please join us in the gallery this week! What do these colors say to you? I'm expecting to see lots of hearts this week!

Oh, I really like this Valentine's card. The embossing paste on the hearts give a real upscale look both in design and creativity- love it!! And I like that you got creative with the dessert option- adding a 4th color as well as a Valentine card.
