Happy Saturday, SCS'ers and our hostess Julie over on the Inspiration Challenge! What a fabulous website to be inspired by. It certainly didn't take me long to find Zion National Park...the poster that made my heart flutter. I was inspired by the colors, the permanence of the landscape, the sky filled with clouds.
My background is filled with uplifting words (Art Walk dp). Big, bold words! I've been waiting to use this exquisite image (unknown maker) a gift from a dear friend. Can't you just feel the sunshine upon her face as well as the windswept hair appearing as columns of stone?
The oval dies are a bit of the bold blue of the WPA poster as well as a marbled multicolor center. I used Frantage Blue embossing enamel for the top oval. Besides loads of sparkle, there are bits of iron, white, and black pieces in the mix.
The bottom is finished with three ecru lace triangles taken from my grandmom's 'Precious Box'. The image was finished with a single drop of Liquid Pearls for an earring.
Thank you so much for your comments. Like the positive phrases of the background, we all need to remind ourselves regularly!

Oh Susan, I so see how your inspiration pic impacted your thoughts on your card. Your card is magical and deep as all your cards are. They just seem to be touched by love, intelligence, and emotion - you have such a lovely style. Giant hugz

In addition to that hauntingly beautiful image the vintage lace caught my eye as well. It's so interesting how your inspiration translated to what you put on your card. The triple layered oval framing is so cool, especially the marble. You've created a lovely card mf....

What great elements you put on your card to go along with this wonderful image with a face of peace, light, and joy. The addition of the antique lace is awesome!
