For the MMTPT challenge, Sabrina gave us these inspiring thoughts:
"The last two years were certainly challenging for everybody, but quite aside from that in our own daily lives we all have challenges that we face, whether big or small. And we overcome them by taking each day one day at a time, one step at a time, putting our best foot forward."
I immediately thought of this stamp which I have always loved. The challenged involved steps or shoes so I wanted it to be special and lovingly worn shoes. I found this lovely tutorial - the music is so soothing:
My shoes are no anywhere as pretty as the the shoes Maria did, but I still love them.
I have many friends and loved ones who suffer from anxiety, PTSD, or various forms of depression or extreme pain. Even one step is hard some days. Theirs is the journey of a thousand miles.

What a lovely card, Nancy. I can't see videos, still, so I miss out on the soothing music but I love your ballet shoes. I was sort of hoping that would be what Lisa would use! And the sentiment, good in its own right, is so perfect with dance. The grandson of one of our best friends is in the middle of auditioning for ballet schools. I saw a video of him practicing, and wow, I was blown away.

LOL! Sabrina, I would love to use my ballet shoes but alas those are hand drawn and I was running out of time to get the card made so used a stamp. Nancy this is absolutely gorgeous! I love the coloring and oh my goodness now I need to watch the video so I can draw my shoes and color them up with similar colors. Thank you for the link!

This is a beautiful painting, and I love the subject of the ballet slippers. (So many of us did images of high-heels, but we all wear so many different types of shoes, it's nice to see some of them represented.)
