This is for the teapot challenge to use Christmas greenery and the watercolor challenge to do a splatter painting. I have felt "splatter challenged" throughout this WC journey but forged ahead . . .
I cut my triangular mask and laid it over my paper Then spattered on Raw Sienna, Kelly Green and Royal Blue (part with a toothbrush and part with a paint brush.) While it was still wet I used a #4 Long round bush to feather the edges for a softer look. I maybe got a bit carried away but I like the results. Decorated with crimson baubles and finished with more spatters.
This will go out in the mail today for this week's teapot recipient - a retired nurse who is now battling cancer and needs some paper hugs and good cheer.

Excellent splattered tree!!! I just love the look of your stitched, decorative corner die cut mats! Marie will surely love your message of kindness and cheer!

Love this tree and, no, you didn't get carried away because those branches are fabulous. Great colors too. Beautiful card and such a beautiful sentiment. Awesome job, Linda.

Wow! this really is lovely with your splattering technique. I think you can truthfully say you are no longer splatter challenged. Love the brush strokes and the touch of blue you added. Reminds me of the blue spruce trees that are abundant in Wisconsin. Nice that you could join this challenge with the teapotters and send some cheer. Thanks again for joining us this week and painting a beautiful tree. Fav'd

You have this splattering thing down, Linda! No worries there!! Your tree is great and so pretty decorated with your red baubles. Love the swish of gray under the tree.

i think the splatters look good..they're not suppose to be perfect...that's why they're "splatters'. This is lovely Linda. The sentiment is wonderful for someone who has had a career of showing kindness.
