Ohmigosh, I smiled and laughed and felt uplifted throughout this week's Featured Stamper's Gallery. MerMer5050 has the cutest images, the punniest sentiments and the best dp which she combined into super cards. She had several with die cut foliage that reminded me of floral frames I own, but I finally settled on this one: CC915 A Birdie Told Me by MerMer5050 at Splitcoaststampers.
I loved how she featured the die cuts on this and that birdie telling secrets to the cat is so sweet. So her card inspired me to pull out a die cut floral front, but mine is square and instead of a kitty there is a butterfly. I tried to drop alcohol inks (AI) in spots to mirror how the flowers would fall on the front. And, AI being AI it went where it would; but, I got pretty close. And I love how AI looks, so I'm happy. I thought I was picking a more purpley ink with BV04, but it looks very blue on the cs. But I love blue and greens so, I am happy with that too.
Congratulations Mer on being selected Featured Stamper this week. I have so many tabs open with possible CASE cards that my computer is screaming at me, so I hope to be able to do another. In the meantime, I hope you have a wonderful week and enjoy the cards made in your honor. And, I hope everyone is having fun getting inky this weekend. TFL.

Debbie this is glorious! I have admired many AI backgrounds and this one really inspires me. I might need to dig out some glossy cardstock and try this.

Fabulous AI background. Love how the colors are under the different die-cut shapes, especially the yellow under the butterfly. Beautiful case. Great card!

Hi Debbie, I am so honored that you were inspired by one of my cards! Thank you for your kind words about my gallery. Your alcohol ink background is stunning - what a happy accident that the purple turned more towards blue because the resulting color combination is beautiful. I love blue and green together. The placement of the colors aligns well, especially the yellow under the butterfly outline - so pretty. This is an incredible cut out, so delicate, and the white really pops against the colorful background. I simply adore this card! HUGS, Mer
Debbie, this is a great case of Mer's card. I love the gorgeous background you created with your AI. It doesn't matter that the ink spread out beyond where you wanted it to for your flowers. They highlight your beautiful die cut floral frame perfect.

First I just replied to your pm, but it said this: DebbieinOC has exceeded their stored private messages quota and cannot accept further messages until they clear some space.
Now, back to your glorious looking A.I. card. This looks spectacular. So fresh and pretty and spring like. A truly gorgeous card, mf.
