This is for our own Carlene, aka Chatterbox-1 who is recovering from surgery and needs a bit of cheer.
I used the plaid stencils with DOX inks to create my background. I colored and fussy cut the image and matted it to a stitched oval panel; added the sentiment. Carlene loves to read; I hope this card brings her some comfort!

What great colors for the stencil! Love the reader bundled up with her best friend, enjoying the Winter and a book!!

what a soothing scene. the pink and green colors are awesome together. Perfect way to spend the afternoon: relaxing over a cup of tea, petting the doggie and reading a good book.

Fabulous image -- especially for a reader -- and colored beautifully. I ADORE you plaid bg. Awesome job on the stenciling and great colors. Wonderful design and one that I think Carlene will love too.

So wonderful that you were able to custom colour your plaid background. That image of reading in bed with a doggy is the best! It looks wonderful in that oval and your colouring is spot on!

Ah, there's a stencil I recognise. It's a fun one to use. It adds a lovely warm feeling to this, makes me think of a cosy blanket which is perfect with that image.
