This card is going to fellow Teapotter, Carlene (aka Chatterbox-1). In addition to her other interests, Carlene loves travel, so I thought this wonderful die of a heart shaped hot air balloon would be perfect. I used a cloud stencil on watercolor paper to create the BG in Bashful Blue and die cut the balloon from more of the cloud stenciling. I love the 3D effect of the heart, which shows more of the clouds below.
Stamped the trim and basket and colored with more Bashful Blue using a blender pen. Added some silver gel pen accents and a few pearls. Matted with silver and added the twine on the spine. I hope this and all our cards make Carlene's spirits soar!

You're right -- you had the perfect die for today's Tea Party. Love the die cut and with that image. I especially like how you used another stenciled piece for the balloon. It looks amazing against those fabulous clouds. The accents of silver are gorgeous and I love the silver twine along the spine. Your write up made me smile -- especially your clever ending. I have no doubt this card will indeed do the same for Carlene. Fantastic card.
