For the Inspiration Challenge (IC885), we're visiting a site called Backyard Bliss & their Pinterest Board where I chose THIS picture as my inspiration.
I started w/ the new Birch Tree cover die for my card. After die cutting it out of white, I also die cut one out of black fun foam, to not only elevate it but also to have the black show thru the spots in the birch trees. I used a grey Prismacolor pencil to add the shading on the trees. For the background, I used a piece of dk grey & added 3 single birch trees. Then I placed the die cut deer in & around the the birch trees on top. I liked the dimension of the two layers of birch trees gives. A pair of cardinals & the Merry were added on top. I used the white pencil & a white gel pen to add the snow in the background.
Thanks so much for looking. It's on my blog w/ more pics & products: The Write Stuff

Julie, your card (every inch) is absolutely stunning. I love it so much. Your birds and the way you placed the deer is just outstanding.

Love the deer coming out of the woods. My parents' house had birch logs in the fireplace, but for some reason they never lit them. Oh wait. My mother was a picky cleaner. Probably didn't want the mess. We have a great big fireplace, and use it all the time!!!

Julie, your Christmas card is so beautifully done! Love how you wove the deer images in amongst the birches and the bright red of the cardinals is a "pop" among the neutrals of the design.

This is sooo beautiful and surely must be spectacular, IRL, with all that dimension! I luv all the pops of red from the cardinals. Almost missed the deer laying down on the right - glad I took my time taking it all in. FAVED
