I am so thrilled with how this card came together. The other day, my brother texted me to ask if I had any wedding cards on hand. I never do. I prefer to make my wedding cards personalized to the couple. I asked him when he needed it. "Later today" was the answer. Well, OK, I can whip something up. Then he started talking about wanting to give them a card with a gift card instead of a gift because right after their wedding they are moving to Italy. An Italian wedding card?! An excuse to finally use my Italian stamps? Awesome! So I checked Ally's sketch for quick inspiration. At first I thought "pizza"! And then it hit me..."when the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie..."
ACK! Perfect! So I whipped this card up on my lunch break and had it ready for him when he dropped by after work. The background has my Italian Congratulazioni stamped repeatedly, because I couldn't not use that. Looking at the photo now, I wish that I had splattered some stars across the sky as well. I die cut the moon from some pearly cardstock and stenciled the craters with my Tim Holtz Grunge stencil. Then I designed the "That's Amore" cut file using the Brother Canvas Workspace software and cut it with my ScanNCut. There are three layers to give it some bulk. The outer frame is black velvet paper from MFT because it's a wedding card and needed a special touch. Lastly, I added Wink of Stella to the words.
