For Janelle's MIX508: Common Thread or Knot by dizzymommie at Splitcoaststampers MIX challenge. I don't have a lot of time (or mojo), but since it's the first time for a while that the MIX has been up when I could work on it in the morning, that was too good an opportunity to pass up. My TLC salted panel is still drying, so I pulled out the last coloured and heated Tyvek panel from my stash. Time to make some more. I knew it was easy to stitch on, although I can't find my good sewing thimble anywhere. I did a random design with purple floss in mostly chain stitch, then extended it into long stitches with French knots to make a sort of flower. Added some yellow French knots, then went in with some green to add an effect of foliage along the flower stem. I had been thinking of adding a butterfly, but then I thought the yellow knots could be stars, so I went purely fantastical and added two little hedgehogs (I think they're Memory Box or Poppy) sitting looking up at the flower, and something that is either a squirrel or a mouse sitting on the curve of the stem. Added some Stickles for more stars, some copper accents around the floral knots, and a crescent moon cut from a piece of cling wrap background. I used the Chipped Sapphire direct to paper for the base for a more textured look (and quicker than sponging), and spattered it with gold Twinkling H2Os.

There is that super cool material you have. This looks very dream-like and fantastical. Love the elements and whimsey. Fun MIX card, Sabrina! Hugz
