My 5 year old grandson, Hollis, came over yesterday. He saw my owl card and said he wanted to paint too (this is rare). He looked at this inspiration photo
and was inspired by the white owl with yellow on the top left. He decided not to an owl but to stamp a bird and paint it yellow. He tried a flower like the one in the picture too. Don't you love how he did the sky with just one blue line?
This was such a fun time for us so I am sharing!
Thanks again Stacy!

this very much has a western south western dessert scene feel to me Hollis probably because, my mama retired down there so she has been on my mind lately. Love how happy your bird looks soaring through here too. Thanks for playing along with us.

Hollis, you did a great job with your card. I love your sun and flowers. Of course, I love that pretty bird. I am a bird lover. Your sky and grass look great. You are a super painter like your nana.

This is great Nancy! I still remember the first time I painted. I was 6 and made a sun and sky just like this but my sun ran down the page. Amazing what you can remember and still forget your PIN number. Hollis will remember this time with his Nana for ever. :-) Tell him 'Good Job!' from me!
What a fun, special card, Nancy! Your grandson did an amazing job for a 5 year old! It's fun where he put his name, too! Rather than stuck down in a corner!

So precious Nancy. Hollis did great and I love the one line. How children see things differently to us. Happy painting. Hugs

He did a good job interpreting his inspiration photo! I luv to see small children being creative. Such a great idea to get kids, as young as possible interested in art.
This reminds me how much I loved to color as a very young child and here I am 70 years later still loving it.
